Emirates Introduces Premium Economy on Retrofitted A380 to Paris

Emirates is set to launch its Premium Economy cabin on flights between Dubai and Paris starting October 25, 2026, utilizing a fully refurbished Airbus A380 for this route. This new addition aims to elevate the travel experience for passengers flying between these two major cities.

Introduction of Premium Economy on Dubai-Paris Routes

Emirates will operate this enhanced service daily on flights **EK071 and EK072**, connecting Dubai International Airport with Paris Charles de Gaulle. With the introduction of Premium Economy, Emirates will now offer this cabin class on all three of its French routes: Paris, Lyon, and Nice. The airline previously introduced the Premium Economy offering on flights to Lyon and Nice, responding to growing demand from travelers.

The airline has observed a strong interest in the Premium Economy experience, particularly since its debut on the French Riviera and Lyon routes. Approximately 10% of travelers from these destinations to Dubai have opted for Premium Economy, reflecting a keen market interest. Many of these travelers are also connecting to long-haul destinations beyond Dubai, revealing a diverse passenger base.

Experience the Comfort of Premium Economy on A380

The refurbished A380 will feature **56 Premium Economy seats** arranged in a 2-4-2 layout, positioned at the front of the main deck. These seats come with cream leather upholstery, increased recline, cushioned leg rests, and six-way adjustable headrests for enhanced comfort. Premium Economy passengers will also enjoy an improved dining experience, with meals served on Royal Doulton china, complemented by linen napkins and high-quality cutlery.

In addition to the luxurious seating, passengers will benefit from dedicated check-in counters and priority boarding at Paris Charles de Gaulle. Each fare includes 35kg of checked baggage and an additional 10kg of cabin baggage, making travel even more convenient and enjoyable.

Refurbished A380 Enhancements Across All Classes

The addition of the Premium Economy cabin is part of a larger refurbishment initiative that affects all four passenger classes aboard the A380. Emirates is enhancing its **First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class** offerings as well, with modernized interiors featuring colors like cream, bronze, and light blue, along with lighter wood finishes. The distinct Ghaf tree motif, a nod to the UAE’s national tree, is also prominently displayed in the cabin designs.

The upgrade includes the well-known A380 amenities such as the Onboard Lounge and First Class Shower Spa, which have received stylish updates in both design and illumination. This refurbishing effort is part of Emirates’ broader strategy to modernize its A380 and Boeing 777 fleet while expanding the Premium Economy option across its extensive international network.

Comprehensive Premium Economy Availability in France

With the launch of Premium Economy in Paris, Emirates will ensure that this latest cabin experience is available at all its French gateways by the end of October. Paris stands as a vital European hub for Emirates, serving as a key connection point for passengers traveling between France and destinations across Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean.

The retrofitted A380 will commence operations on flights EK071 and EK072 starting from October 25, 2026, coinciding with the inauguration of the aviation industry’s winter schedule for 2026/27. Tickets for this new cabin class are already on sale, and travelers can look forward to a unique flying experience between Dubai and Paris.
