Taste of Innovation Debuts at Dubai Future Week by Fast Company Middle East
Food has always mirrored the evolution of society. With the advent of artificial intelligence, scientific advancements, and technological innovations, kitchens are now evolving into experimental grounds for future culinary concepts.
Taste of Innovation in Dubai
This November, Fast Company Middle East is excited to introduce the Taste of Innovation event series to Dubai, in conjunction with Dubai Future Week. This marks the first time this well-regarded series, originally part of Fast Company’s annual Innovation Festival in New York City, will be held in the region. The event promises to blend culinary art with innovative thought, showcasing how technology and new ideas are poised to redefine our relationship with food.
Held from November 18–21, 2026, Dubai Future Week is organized by the Dubai Future Foundation and is anticipated to attract over 10,000 attendees at various venues, including the Emirates Towers and the Museum of the Future. The overarching theme is “For the Human of the Future,” aiming to provide insights into how we will work, innovate, and live in the coming decades.
Experiencing Tomorrow Through Culinary Innovation
Taste of Innovation aligns with the spirit of Dubai Future Week, focusing on transforming abstract ideas of the future into tangible experiences. Rather than simply holding discussions, attendees will engage with the future in a multi-sensory way through taste, dialogue, and hands-on activities. The evening is designed to explore the role that emerging ideas will play in shaping culinary practices, from the farms to our plates. The menu will reflect both terrestrial possibilities and explorations beyond Earth, inspired by the UAE’s forward-thinking vision.
Celebrity chef Kelvin Cheung, recognized as one of Fast Company Middle East’s Most Creative People in Business, will curate a captivating four-course meal at Jun’s in Downtown Dubai. Each course will present a unique interpretation of future trends, encouraging diners to ponder the broader implications of what they are eating.
The Intersection of Food, Creativity, and Technology
Beyond just gastronomic enjoyment, Taste of Innovation will provoke thought regarding the nature of creativity in the kitchen. As technology becomes a more integral part of culinary arts, the event encourages conversations about authorship and collaboration in food creation. It asks participants to consider: who or what contributes to the making of a dish in this age of AI and digital innovation?
This event aims to bring together a diverse array of stakeholders, including founders, investors, policymakers, and innovators across the region. By providing a platform for exchanging ideas and exploring new possibilities, Taste of Innovation aims to stimulate discussions around the critical issues shaping the future of both business and society.
Join us on November 19 from 6:30 PM to 10 PM at Jun’s in Downtown Dubai, curated by Fast Company Middle East and Dubai Future Week. This exciting culinary adventure promises not just a delightful meal but a thought-provoking dive into the future of food and innovation.
