Over the past year, the force announced that it completed 104 strategic and operational projects utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, marking a significant development in enhancing public safety and service efficiency.
Integration of Artificial Intelligence
During an annual assessment conducted by Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, the Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, the progress of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence was highlighted. This department has introduced 36 robotic process automation (RPA) systems. These systems are designed to streamline routine administrative tasks, thereby lightening the workload for personnel and enabling them to focus on more critical duties.
Moreover, Dubai Police reported an impressive continuity rate of 99.97% for its public digital services, while its technology systems have achieved a continuity rate of 99.92%. Such metrics underscore the effectiveness of the technological upgrades in maintaining high service standards and operational reliability.
Future Plans and Innovations
The plans for further expanding AI integration within the police department’s functions were also discussed. This includes developing a comprehensive AI platform aimed at analyzing data, automating processes, and providing invaluable digital tools for both staff and the community. These innovations not only enhance operational efficiency but also improve the overall user experience for citizens accessing police services.
In a notable move, the force is working on implementing a smart assistant for its Smart Police Stations. These state-of-the-art facilities offer policing and security services 24/7, eliminating the need for citizens to visit traditional police stations. This innovation aims to make law enforcement more accessible and user-friendly.
Commitment to Technological Advancement
Lieutenant General Al Marri emphasized that Dubai Police is committed to continually investing in technology and specialized expertise. The objective is to further develop their digital services, ensuring they stay ahead in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. This proactive approach will not only enhance public safety but also foster greater trust and collaboration between law enforcement and the community.
Overall, these advancements represent a significant leap in Dubai Police’s mission to modernize its functionalities and provide efficient, technology-driven services. As artificial intelligence and automation technologies mature, the ability of Dubai Police to adapt and innovate will undoubtedly play a vital role in shaping the future of public safety and community engagement in the region.
