According to Adel Al Suwaidi, Director of the Strategy and Corporate Excellence Department, these pilot projects are crucial for refining systems before full implementation, maximizing their value for stakeholders.

OCTA employs advanced analytics to enhance knowledge management and generate recommendations, allowing staff quicker access to essential information. Meanwhile, ACI focuses on proactive risk analysis, ensuring that potential issues can be addressed before the physical arrival of shipments, thus streamlining customs processes.

Continuous Improvement with Digital Tools

In addition to OCTA and ACI, Dubai Customs has introduced other digital solutions like the Shahin cargo-monitoring platform. This innovative technology utilizes satellite tracking to monitor cargo from customs points to destinations. It enhances real-time visibility, improving the security and efficiency of shipments.

The Green Corridor initiative has also demonstrated remarkable results, showcasing the effectiveness of these new systems. Between March and June 2026, the initiative facilitated the handling of over 203,000 containers, significantly boosting the economy while maintaining an impressive instant-clearance rate of 93%.
