Joey Essex is preparing to make a splash in the boxing ring this weekend in London. After spending some time in Dubai, the reality TV star will return to his roots for a match against Dapper Laughs as part of the Misfits Boxing event at the Copper Box Arena. The night promises to be thrilling, featuring a lineup that includes former footballer James Collins taking on Big Stacks.

### Joey Essex: A Journey Through Fame and Challenges

Joey Essex, known primarily for his role on “The Only Way is Essex,” has had a rollercoaster ride over the past decade. At 36 years old, he steps into the boxing arena with one victory already under his belt, having previously defeated Numeiro in a middleweight bout held in Manchester. Essex’s transition from reality television to boxing is both fascinating and revealing; it demonstrates his adaptability and resilience in the face of challenges.

Over the years, Essex has faced some serious trials as well. In 2012, a traumatic experience saw him robbed by two men posing as admirers. What started as a seemingly innocent encounter turned dangerous when they brandished a knife after stealing his £10,000 Rolex watch. “We took the picture, and then they just threw me over,” he recounted, highlighting the shocking turn of events that marked an early chapter in his fame.

### The Impact of Relocation and Personal Growth

Moving to Dubai has been a significant life change for Essex. He confirmed this transition on social media, sharing his gratitude to the Dubai Government and acknowledging that the city is now his home. “Happiness is the way forward,” he wrote, expressing his positive outlook on life after relocating. Since then, he has skimmed back and forth between the UAE and the UK, taking part in various media events, including a surprise appearance on “Love Island” in 2024.

Despite these personal changes, Essex maintains a dedicated focus on his boxing training. He recently described the intensity of his training regimen, revealing that his experience in boxing camps demands extreme discipline and commitment. “These boxing camps are no joke,” he stated, comparing the rigorous workouts to those he faced during his time on “SAS: Who Dares Wins.” Essex believes that the effort he puts into his training will shine through during the match on October 10th.

### Upcoming Boxing Event: Joey Essex vs. Dapper Laughs

As anticipation builds for the event, Essex is determined to leave a lasting impression in the ring. He emphasized the hard work and dedication required to perform at his best. “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard,” he noted, underscoring his commitment to showcasing a memorable fight.

Not only will Essex’s match against Dapper Laughs be streamed live on DAZN, but it also represents a significant moment in his life and career. “This is only the beginning,” he stated, suggesting that his boxing pursuits may lead to even greater opportunities down the line. Fans eager to catch the action can do so through a DAZN subscription, making it an event not to be missed.

As Joey Essex prepares for his upcoming fight, he symbolizes a journey of transformation, resilience, and ambition, capturing the attention of fans around the world.
