Emirates introduces premium economy to six Indian cities starting at Dh4,400.

Emirates Airlines is set to enhance its connectivity by deploying the Airbus A380 on its Dubai-Delhi route starting October 25, 2023. This significant move positions Delhi as the third destination in India to benefit from the airline’s iconic double-decker aircraft, reflecting a robust demand for travel between Dubai and various Indian cities.

Expanding A380 Services in India

The introduction of the A380 will be featured on flights EK512 and EK513, boasting a four-class configuration. Emirates already serves Mumbai and Bengaluru with this aircraft, and Delhi’s inclusion signifies the airline’s strategic focus on catering to the thriving travel market in India. The growing interest in air travel between Dubai and India plays a critical role in this expansion, ensuring that Emirates meets customer expectations for luxury and comfort.

Premium Economy Across More Destinations

Starting in October, all Emirates flights to and from Delhi will include a premium economy class, enhancing the traveler experience significantly. The airline’s A380 will run in conjunction with retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft, which also feature this upgraded cabin option. By the end of October, the premium economy service will expand to six Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Kochi. This means that travelers will have access to a more comfortable and spacious travel option, further boosting the airline’s appeal in the region.

Competitive Pricing and Future Developments

As demand for premium economy service rises, Emirates is committed to offering competitive pricing. For example, current flight prices on the Emirates website for premium economy tickets in November start at around Dh4,400. The airline’s Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Kazim, expressed gratitude towards local authorities for their support in enhancing the travel experience, emphasizing the value of the long-standing partnership between Emirates and India.

Looking ahead, additional service enhancements are planned to broaden customer offerings in India. Emirates aims to leverage its popularity and reach in the Indian market by allowing premium economy to be available on nearly half of their scheduled weekly flights. The airline’s initiatives reflect a strong commitment to investing in customer comfort and service innovation.

Additional Route Changes

In a move designed to improve operational efficiency on other Indian routes, Emirates will also introduce the Airbus A350 for its daily flight between Kolkata and Dubai, effective October 25. This route (EK570/571) aims to enhance overall customer experience, while flights EK572/573, operating five times weekly on retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft, will also offer premium economy. This development ensures that all 12 weekly flights between Kolkata and Dubai provide this upgraded travel option, benefiting more passengers.

Emirates continues to strengthen its Indian operations, serving a total of nine destinations, which include Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram. This expansion highlights the airline’s ongoing commitment to providing quality service and enhancing travel experiences, positioning Emirates as a key player in the aviation market between Dubai and India.
