Emirates Introduces Premium Economy on All French Flights

Emirates is set to enhance its service on the Dubai-Paris route by employing its newly retrofitted Airbus A380 aircraft starting October 25, 2026. This major update will introduce a Premium Economy cabin, ensuring that travelers to the French capital receive a more comfortable flying experience.

Daily Flights to the City of Lights

The retrofitted Airbus A380 will operate daily flights EK071 and EK072, marking the completion of Emirates’ rollout of Premium Economy class across its French destinations. This exciting development means that passengers can now enjoy this upgraded service not just in Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) but also at Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport (LYS) and Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE). All these routes connect seamlessly via Dubai International Airport (DXB), making it more convenient for travelers from France to access distant destinations.

Strong Demand for Premium Economy

Emirates has witnessed a steady demand for its Premium Economy service, particularly since its introduction in Lyon and Nice, where the cabin has been consistently popular. With approximately one out of every ten passengers on these routes choosing Premium Economy to Dubai, it is evident that there is substantial interest in this class of travel. A considerable portion of travelers heading to France also comes from long-haul markets like the UAE, Australia, Japan, and others, indicating that many are searching for added comfort on their long flights.

Moreover, flights departing from France often go to similarly distant locations, as well as toward Indian Ocean islands like Mauritius and the Maldives, all of which also feature Premium Economy service. Cedric Renard, Emirates’ Country Manager for France, remarked that the decision to add Premium Economy service to the Paris route was a logical progression, given the overwhelmingly positive feedback from Lyon and Nice travelers. This reflects Emirates’ ongoing commitment to enhancing its offerings in the French market.

Experience the Premium Economy Cabin

The Premium Economy cabin on the Emirates A380 is situated at the front of the main deck, featuring 56 seats arranged in a comfortable 2-4-2 layout. Passengers can expect reclining cream leather seats equipped with cushioned leg rests, adjustable headrests, and stylish woodgrain dining tables built into the armrests. The cabin’s aesthetics are often likened to business class, offering an upscale flying experience without the higher price tag.

In-flight meals are crafted by Emirates’ skilled chefs and served on fine Royal Doulton china, complete with linen napkins and stainless steel cutlery. The wine selection includes prestigious options like La Parde de Haut-Bailly from Bordeaux and Chablis Premier Cru from Burgundy, ensuring a sophisticated dining experience. Additionally, Premium Economy travelers enjoy perks such as priority boarding at Charles de Gaulle, a generous checked baggage allowance, and dedicated check-in counters.

With this aircraft upgrade, Emirates has also revamped the interiors of its First, Business, and Economy cabins, introducing a new color scheme of cream, bronze, and sky blue accented by lighter wood finishes. The design incorporates the airline’s distinctive ghaf tree motif, symbolizing its cultural roots in the UAE.

Overall, the retrofitting of Emirates’ Airbus A380 and the introduction of the Premium Economy cabin highlight the airline’s commitment to providing travelers with a more luxurious and enjoyable flying experience, solidifying its position in the competitive aviation market.
