Supporting Dubai’s Digital Ecosystem
Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, articulated that this access to Canva’s sophisticated design tools signifies a notable stride toward the advancement of Dubai’s digital economy. By facilitating easier access to professional design capabilities, the chamber aims to streamline operations for SMEs and strengthen their digital presence. This commitment reflects a broader dedication to nurturing a thriving business ecosystem that encourages innovation and efficiency.
Expanding Canva’s Reach
Having established a solid foothold in Dubai, Canva has witnessed impressive growth, with over 5 million designs generated monthly by users in the UAE. Ahmed Iqbal, the General Manager for the MENAP region at Canva, emphasized that this partnership aligns with Canva’s mission to empower users through accessible design tools. The objective is to assist SMEs in transforming their ideas into impactful visuals, thereby enhancing brand recognition and effectively engaging their customer base. This initiative is pivotal in supporting Dubai’s business community and promoting digital evolution region-wide.
Eligibility and Future Prospects
To leverage this offer, participating companies must be registered members of the Dubai Chambers, maintain a workforce of fewer than 500 employees, and have no prior subscriptions to Canva’s paid plans. Companies holding Dubai-issued trade licenses will also be eligible to enroll in this program shortly. This initiative represents a collaborative agreement signed between the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and Canva during the World Government Summit 2026, aiming to assist 250,000 digital SMEs and individual users over the next five years. This approach is part of a larger strategy focused on enhancing digital transformation and integrating artificial intelligence into business operations.
