The announcement came during the inauguration of the Construction Innovation and Research Centre, known as 04 ConTech Valley, in partnership with Expo City Dubai. At the same event, Dubai Municipality unveiled the Global ConTech Report in collaboration with Zacua Ventures. This comprehensive analysis highlights the increasing global adoption of construction technologies, projecting that investments in the sector will surpass $30 billion by 2033, with an annual growth rate estimated at 17.5%.

The report also addresses critical industry challenges, such as labor shortages, that are fueling increased investments in technologies like robotics and prefabrication. It underscores the rapid technological advancements shaping the construction landscape, including artificial intelligence, advanced robotics, and improved infrastructure technology.

Collaborative Framework: The ConTech Working Group

In addition to these initiatives, the launch of the ConTech Working Group signals a strategic effort to unite various stakeholders in the construction sector. His Excellency Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, emphasized that these initiatives are pivotal for making the construction sector smarter and more sustainable. The 70–70 Strategy was introduced, targeting a shift to 70% off-site construction and 70% automation in factories by 2030.
