Yango Group, a technology firm based in the UAE, is bringing innovative AI and autonomous technologies to Dubai Festival City Mall for a significant community initiative on August 22. The event will see Yango’s AI assistant, Yasmina, take on the role of race commentator, providing runners with motivational guidance, wellness advice, and local insights throughout the course. At the same time, the company’s autonomous delivery robot will ensure hydration and awards distribution, illustrating the integration of AI and robotics into everyday experiences while contributing to Dubai’s vision of a smart city.

About Dubai Mallathon

Yango Group is a key ally of Dubai Mallathon, a citywide wellness initiative spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai. This program aims to transform shopping centers into air-conditioned running venues during the summer months, inspiring residents to maintain an active lifestyle. On the morning of August 22, runners can participate in races of 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km starting at 6:00 AM, all held within the welcoming confines of Dubai Festival City Mall.

The Role of Yango Yasmina

Before the races kick off, Yango Yasmina will assist in warming up participants alongside a professional coach, offering timely voice prompts and encouragement. Throughout the event, rather than a conventional announcer, runners will hear Yasmina’s engaging voice, delivering practical advice on hydration, pacing, and exercise tips. Yasmina will also share intriguing local facts and interactive prompts, keeping participants engaged and motivated as they approach the finish line. This innovative approach showcases how AI can seamlessly integrate into public experiences, enhancing community events.

Robotics in Action

In conjunction with Yasmina, Yango Group will feature an autonomous delivery robot, which will deliver water and award medals. This robot is equipped with advanced cameras and AI capabilities, allowing it to perceive and navigate through effectively dynamic environments. The introduction of these technologies offers a practical demonstration of how autonomous solutions can transform services and deliver experiences, reinforcing Dubai’s commitment to advanced robotics.
