Emirates Introduces A380 to Delhi-Dubai, Expands Premium Economy in India

Emirates is enhancing its service offerings in India by launching its renowned Airbus A380 on the Delhi to Dubai route starting October 25. This significant upgrade makes Delhi the third Indian city to be served by the iconic double-decker aircraft, joining the likes of Mumbai and Bengaluru. The A380 will operate on flights EK512 and EK513, which will feature a four-class layout, supplementing the existing Boeing 777 aircraft equipped with Premium Economy seats on the airline’s three other daily flights to Delhi.

Enhanced Travel Options with Premium Economy

The introduction of the A380 also marks a critical expansion of Emirates’ Premium Economy service throughout India. By the end of October, travelers can experience this luxurious cabin class on flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Kochi. This wide availability signifies Emirates’ commitment to providing varied and comfortable travel experiences tailored to meet the increasing demand for premium services between India and Dubai.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the airline’s dedication to the Indian market. “Our ongoing rollout of the latest products affirms our commitment to enhancing the travel journeys of our customers. We are thrilled to bring the highly anticipated A380 service to Delhi, a crucial node in our global network,” he stated. Kazim also acknowledged the strong demand for travel in and out of India, expressing gratitude to the relevant authorities for their support in expanding this service.

Upgrades in Kolkata

In addition to the A380 introduction, Emirates is also progressing its service in Kolkata. From October 25, the daily Kolkata-Dubai flight EK570/571 will transition from a Boeing 777 to the Airbus A350, also showcasing the airline’s Premium Economy cabin. This change not only improves the onboard experience for passengers but also aligns with Emirates’ strategy to enhance its product offerings across Indian cities.

Overall, the combination of the retrofitted Boeing 777 flights and the A350 will facilitate Premium Economy service on all 12 weekly flights between Kolkata and Dubai. By the end of October, Emirates will offer Premium Economy across a significant number of flights, including four daily services from Delhi and 22 weekly from Mumbai, ensuring seamless and comfortable travel options for passengers.

Customer Experience Initiatives

To further elevate the customer experience in India, Emirates is launching new retail travel stores in both Delhi and Mumbai. Plans are also in place to open additional outlets in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, as well as establishing a dedicated call center in Mumbai. These initiatives reflect Emirates’ dedication to providing tailored services and easy access for travelers across various regions in India.

Currently, Emirates connects nine key Indian cities—Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram—with a robust schedule of 167 weekly flights to Dubai. From there, passengers can access nearly 140 destinations globally, making Emirates a leading choice for travelers seeking both comfort and connectivity.

As Emirates continues to grow its footprint in India, the introduction of the A380 and enhancements across its operations exemplify the airline’s commitment to delivering exceptional travel experiences tailored to the demands of passengers.
