Dubai Police Launches 104 Tech Initiatives in One Year

Dubai Police has made significant strides in enhancing its operational capabilities through advanced technology, as evidenced by their recent announcement. Over the past year, the department implemented 104 strategic and operational technology initiatives, significantly increasing the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation in various services.

Innovative Technology Implementation

During an annual review led by Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, the achievements of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence were highlighted. The department introduced 36 robotic process automation (RPA) systems, aimed at streamlining administrative functions and alleviating the workload of personnel. This innovative approach not only increases efficiency but also allows human resources to focus on more critical tasks that require direct human intervention.

Moreover, the continuity rate of public digital services stood impressively at 99.97% this year, while the technology systems maintained a rate of 99.92%. These metrics underscore Dubai Police’s commitment to providing uninterrupted service to the community, a high standard that is essential in maintaining public trust and operational reliability.

Future Plans for AI Expansion

Lieutenant General Al Marri also discussed the department’s ambitious plans to further integrate AI into various facets of policing, administration, and operations. A pioneering AI platform is in development to facilitate data analysis, automate procedures, and equip both employees and customers with effective digital tools. This comprehensive approach reflects the police force’s proactive strategy to leverage technology for enhanced service delivery.

In addition to this, the force is working on a smart assistant to be integrated into its Smart Police Stations. These stations aim to deliver policing and security services seamlessly around the clock, eliminating the necessity for citizens to physically visit a traditional police station. Such initiatives not only enhance service accessibility but also contribute to the overall safety and security of the community.

Commitment to Technological Advancement

Lieutenant General Al Marri reaffirmed Dubai Police’s dedication to ongoing investments in technology and specialized expertise. This approach is designed to ensure that digital services remain at the forefront of innovation and continue to meet the evolving needs of the public. By harnessing advanced technology, Dubai Police aims to create a more efficient, effective, and secure environment for all residents and visitors.

The ongoing integration of AI and automated systems marks a significant milestone in establishing a modernized policing framework. The focus on innovation is not merely about adopting the latest technologies but also involves reshaping police-community interactions and enhancing overall public safety. As this journey unfolds, the implications of these advancements are likely to set a benchmark for law enforcement agencies globally.
