DUBAI – A recent analysis from the global brand valuation firm Brand Finance highlights the integral role of Digital Dubai in cementing the city’s position as one of the top five place brands worldwide, with a valuation nearing AED 1 trillion.
Digital Dubai’s Significant Contribution
The study identified Digital Dubai as a crucial factor in achieving this ranking, attributing around AED 31 billion to the emirate’s overall brand value. Furthermore, Digital Dubai received an AA+ rating, placing it among the elite digital government entities globally. This strong performance significantly contributed to Dubai’s score of 86 out of 100 on the City Brand Strength Index, while also enhancing its place brand value and improving its rank from seventh to fifth among city brands worldwide.
Digital Dubai’s strong standing was notably reflected in its scores within the Trust and Reputation indices, achieving an impressive 8.4 out of 10 among the city’s residents and businesses. This high level of trust indicates a solid confidence in the emirate’s digital framework and quality of life. Such achievements further affirm Digital Dubai’s role in establishing the city as a forefront digital hub on the global stage.

Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, remarked that these findings exemplify the emirate’s ambitious vision, which places digital transformation at the core of sustainable development, quality of life, and competitiveness on a global scale. He emphasized that the digital ecosystem transcends mere technological amenities, becoming an essential aspect of living, working, and investing in Dubai—a critical element driving trust and global appeal.
Al Mansoori further noted that Dubai’s excellent placement among the top place brands underscores its people-centered strategy, bolstered by ongoing investments in advanced digital infrastructure. Assessments within the Brand Finance Global City Index are based on perceptions collected from a diverse pool of around 5,000 participants, making it a comprehensive study of city branding worldwide. The latest edition evaluated over 15,000 respondents across 20 markets, offering insights into city brand strength across multiple dimensions including living, working, and investing.
