Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has unveiled a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Engineering Management (BScIEM), aimed at grooming future leaders in the rapidly evolving innovation-based economy. This undergraduate program is structured to offer students two distinct concentration pathways: smart manufacturing and industry systems, or logistics and supply chain engineering.

Curriculum Aligned with Industry Needs

The BScIEM program is part of CUD’s School of Engineering, Applied Science and Technology (SEAST) and is tailored to align with the UAE’s strategic objectives in smart industries, digital transformation, global logistics, and sustainable operational practices. The program is designed to provide students with the skills to design, analyze, and optimize complex systems across various domains such as manufacturing, logistics, and services. Emphasizing data-driven strategies and technology integration, graduates will emerge equipped to tackle the challenges of modern industries effectively.

The curriculum begins with a firm grounding in mathematics, physics, computing, and fundamental engineering sciences, transitioning into specialized study areas in industrial engineering. Key topics include operations research, systems modeling, probability and statistics, engineering economics, global supply chain management, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and human factors. This comprehensive educational approach ensures that graduates can make evidence-based decisions and confront real-world challenges decisively.

To enhance employability, the program offers tailored concentration pathways. Each pathway integrates focused elective courses and project work, allowing students to hone their expertise in either smart manufacturing or logistics and supply chain engineering.
