Accelerating AI Adoption in Dubai

During an important meeting, Sheikh Hamdan was updated on a comprehensive plan to foster the adoption of Agentic AI within Dubai’s private sector. This ambitious initiative is designed to benefit approximately 295,000 businesses and aims to develop 100 specialized AI assistants over the next two years. Additionally, the program intends to establish 50 new Agentic AI companies. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the transformative role of AI in reshaping business models, boosting competitiveness, and creating new economic prospects. He highlighted that the private sector is crucial to this ongoing evolution, underscoring the importance of collaboration between businesses and government entities to capitalize on AI’s potential.

Dubai to Host ICPC World Finals 2026

In a notable move to further enhance Dubai’s international prestige, Sheikh Hamdan approved the city as the host for the 50th International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) World Finals. This prestigious event is considered one of the largest student programming competitions globally and will take place from November 16 to 20, 2026. The contest is expected to draw 140 teams from over 70 countries, showcasing talent and innovation among the world’s future tech leaders. By hosting such a significant event, Dubai reinforces its reputation as a premier destination for exceptional digital talent and groundbreaking technological advancements.

Strategic Initiatives for Digital Economic Growth

The session also addressed several strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening Dubai’s digital ecosystem. Among these initiatives is the Dubai Global Talent Network, a platform designed to link global talent with opportunities in Dubai, leveraging their skills for future development projects. Moreover, Sheikh Hamdan endorsed the Dubai Police’s Digital Twin System, an advanced smart surveillance project that incorporates real-time data analysis and digital technologies to improve security measures throughout the city.

The meeting wrapped up with a review of the substantial advancements made in ongoing digital economy projects. The committee highlighted the successful SME digital trade initiative in collaboration with Amazon, which now serves more than 105,000 companies. Additionally, the Ignyte platform has seen significant growth, surpassing 36,000 users. The Dubai AI Campus has become home to over 400 specialized companies, while the Dubai Founders HQ has attracted more than 1,100 members and 500 startups, collectively raising over AED 200 million in funding.
