Emirates Launching Premium Economy on New A350, 777, A380 Routes

Emirates Airline Expands Premium Economy Offerings

Emirates Airline is enhancing its service by rolling out a Premium Economy class and retrofitting its aircraft fleet globally. This initiative aims to elevate the passenger experience and maintain a consistent cabin standard across its extensive network.

Upgrades Across a Diverse Fleet

The expansion features retrofitted Airbus A380s, updated Boeing 777s, and the introduction of new Airbus A350 aircraft. These enhancements will take place on various routes across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America. Emirates’ significant retrofit program seeks to standardize cabin configurations and boost long-haul travel options.

By mid-April, the airline will debut an upgraded high-density, two-class Airbus A380, which includes 76 Business Class seats, 56 Premium Economy seats, and 437 Economy seats. The first aircraft will operate on the Dubai-Amman route before transitioning to Prague by June 1. By the end of November, Emirates anticipates completing the conversion of all 15 two-class A380 jets into three-class layouts, thereby broadening Premium Economy access in key markets.

Route Enhancements in Europe and North America

Several cities in Europe and North America will benefit from the updated aircraft. Starting April 1, flights between New York JFK and Dubai will feature retrofitted four-class Airbus A380s on select days, becoming daily service by June. Similarly, Zurich will see four-class A380 services starting March, providing over 1,500 Premium Economy seats weekly. Milan will introduce Premium Economy on Boeing 777-200LR routes from May 10, while Dublin will offer full Premium Economy options on all flights starting October 25.

Expanding Premium Economy in Asia and Beyond

Emirates continues to expand its Premium Economy offerings in Asia. From May 1, Ho Chi Minh City will gain upgraded Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, adding over 600 weekly Premium Economy seats. Hong Kong will transition from Boeing 777-300ER to A380 services by October 1, followed by the introduction of Premium Economy-equipped A380s in December. Guangzhou will also feature three-class A380 service beginning in October.

In Africa, the new Airbus A350 is set to serve Entebbe starting March 29, while Basra will benefit from retrofitted four-class Boeing 777-300ER services from May, making Premium Economy available on all flights. Additionally, routes to Mauritius will see upgraded Boeing 777-200LR aircraft starting late March.

Introducing the A350 to the Americas

In a significant move, Emirates has introduced the Airbus A350 on flights between Dubai and Montréal, marking the aircraft’s debut within its Americas network. This new route replaces the Boeing 777 for flights EK243 and EK244, providing daily service that combines enhanced cabin comfort with Premium Economy seating. Montréal is now the first destination in Emirates’ Americas network to host the A350, while Toronto continues to receive daily Airbus A380 service.

Premium Economy passengers can expect a range of amenities, including wider leather seats, extended legroom, adjustable headrests, and large personal screens. In-flight dining experience features elevated meal service and premium beverage selections. With access to over 6,500 entertainment channels through Emirates’ ice entertainment system, the travel experience is enhanced for all passengers.

As Emirates continues to expand its network and enhance its services, travelers can look forward to an upgraded flying experience, whether traveling to North America, Europe, Asia, or beyond.
