Emirates Launches Enhanced Boeing 777 Flights to Beirut and Beijing Featuring Premium Economy Class

Emirates Airline has announced the launch of its retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft for flights to Beirut and Beijing, enhancing its Premium Economy service on these popular international routes. The upgraded aircraft will start flying from Dubai to Beirut on January 6, 2026, and then from Dubai to Beijing on February 1, 2026. This move showcases Emirates’ commitment to updating its fleet for medium- and long-haul routes, while also expanding Premium Economy options to new destinations.

The retrofitted Boeing 777 will operate on flight numbers EK953 and EK954 between Dubai and Beirut, marking the introduction of Premium Economy seating for this route. The upgraded service features a redesigned Business Class cabin arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, improving the travel experience for passengers heading to Lebanon’s main international airport.

On the Beijing route, the revamped aircraft will be utilized for flights EK306 and EK307, making Beijing the fourth city in mainland China to benefit from Emirates’ upgraded cabin offerings. The arrival of the retrofitted 777 expands the airline’s upgraded options in the country, catering to the increasing demand for enhanced travel experiences on long-haul flights.

The cabin layout of the retrofitted aircraft includes a four-class configuration with 260 Economy Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, 40 Business Class seats, and eight First Class suites. Passengers in Premium Economy will enjoy wider leather seats, improved legroom, and upgraded amenities, contributing to a more comfortable flying experience. Features like in-seat power, enhanced entertainment, and complimentary amenity kits further elevate the service.

This strategic deployment of upgraded aircraft aligns with a growing trend in long-haul travel, where passengers seek differentiated cabin experiences. The expansion of Premium Economy caters to travelers desiring extra comfort without opting for full Business Class, thus enhancing connectivity and the overall travel experience for those flying across Emirates’ extensive network. Flight schedules have been designed to facilitate onward connections through Dubai, ensuring seamless travel for passengers.
