Emirates Introduces Premium Economy Class to Dublin, Milan, Hong Kong
Emirates has recently announced exciting updates to its fleet that will significantly enhance passenger connectivity and comfort across its global network. This upgrade includes the introduction of additional aircraft and cabin enhancements, particularly in the Premium Economy segment, aimed at offering a premium travel experience alongside consistent service quality.
Expanding Aircraft Capacities
As part of its retrofit initiative, Emirates is set to transform its first high-density two-class A380 into a more versatile three-class layout by mid-April. This aircraft will now feature 76 Business Class seats, 56 Premium Economy seats, and 437 Economy Class seats. The upgraded aircraft will kick off operations on high-demand routes, starting with flights EK903/904 connecting Dubai and Amman from April 14 to May 31. Following this, it will service routes to Prague on EK139/140 beginning June 1. By November, Emirates plans to upgrade all 15 two-class A380s to this new configuration, ensuring increased capacity and enhanced travel options.
Routes to Europe and North America
Emirates is also enhancing its European and North American service offerings. Starting April 1, a retrofitted four-class A380 will fly between New York JFK on flights EK201/202, initially operating four times a week before becoming a daily service starting June 1. Similarly, Zurich will welcome a four-class A380 on flights EK085/086 from March 1, effectively increasing the weekly Premium Economy seat capacity to over 1,500. Furthermore, Milan will benefit from a three-class Boeing 777-200LR with Premium Economy from May 10, and flights EK165/166 to Dublin will also feature a retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR starting October 25, ensuring all 21 weekly services to Dublin include Premium Economy.
Enhancements to Asian and African Routes
In Asia, Emirates is expanding its offerings with a retrofitted three-class Boeing 777-200LR for flights EK392/393 to Ho Chi Minh City starting May 1, allowing for over 600 weekly Premium Economy seats through double daily services. The Hong Kong routes will transition from a Boeing 777-300ER to an A380 on October 1, followed by the launch of a retrofitted A380 with Premium Economy from December 1. In Africa, Emirates will utilize its new A350 on flights EK729/730 to Entebbe from March 29, enhancing service to this popular destination.
Connecting the Middle East and Indian Ocean
In the Middle East, the retrofitted four-class Boeing 777-300ER will operate flights EK945/946 to Basra starting May 1, introducing Premium Economy on all five weekly services. Likewise, Mauritius will receive a retrofitted three-class Boeing 777-200LR for flights EK709/710 beginning March 29. Additionally, Emirates plans to launch a three-class A380 on flights EK362/363 between Dubai and Guangzhou starting October 1, offering First, Business, and Economy Class seating options.
