Emirates Launches Premium Economy Service in 10 More Cities
Emirates Airlines is set to enhance the travel experience by launching its highly anticipated Premium Economy class across ten new cities, in addition to increasing the frequency of flights on several essential routes. This expansion will provide travelers with more options and greater comfort beginning January 2026.
Expansion of Premium Economy
By July 1, 2026, Emirates will introduce its Premium Economy cabin to over 84 routes, utilizing refurbished Boeing 777, A380, and next-generation A350 aircraft. This cabin class is designed to offer passengers additional comfort, featuring wider seats, extra legroom, and an upgraded dining experience that fills the gap between Economy and Business Class. The phased rollout kicks off on January 29, when Premium Economy will be available on select flights to Cochin, India, and Basra, Iraq. This service will expand to various destinations like Barcelona, Mexico City, and Kuwait City starting February 1.
The subsequent stages of the rollout will occur in March and May, bringing Premium Economy to several additional cities, including Karachi, Addis Ababa, Rome, Brisbane, and Tehran. Notably, flights to Taipei will also feature this upgraded cabin, initially served by refurbished Boeing 777 planes before transitioning to the A350 later in the year.
Flight Frequency Enhancements
To accommodate the increasing travel demand during peak summer months, Emirates is also enhancing flight frequencies on particular routes. Beginning June 1, a new daily service will connect Dubai International Airport (DXB) with Copenhagen Airport (CPH). This service will depart Dubai at 14:50 and arrive in Copenhagen at 19:45, with the return flight scheduled for 21:35, landing in Dubai the following day at 05:55.
From July 1, Emirates will increase its offerings to Cape Town and Phuket, adding daily flights to these significant destinations. The flights to Cape Town will depart from DXB at 10:25 and land at Cape Town International Airport (CPT) at 18:05, while the return flight leaves at 20:00. The outbound service to Phuket will take off from Dubai at 22:40, arriving the next morning, and inbound flights will leave Phuket at 10:00, reaching Dubai by 13:05.
Enhanced Connectivity and Passenger Experience
As travel demand grows for these cities, the added flights will enhance connectivity through Dubai, making it easier for passengers to access other critical international hubs like London, Brussels, Mumbai, and various Australasia destinations. This expansion initiative reflects Emirates’ commitment to improving its service and passenger experience amid increasing travel demands.
Furthermore, Emirates is set to revolutionize its in-flight services by implementing free Starlink WiFi across its entire fleet by 2027. The deployment of this cutting-edge technology began in December 2025, demonstrating the airline’s commitment to providing modern amenities for its passengers.
For travelers looking for a superior experience, Emirates’ Premium Economy and increased flight offerings represent a significant step forward in luxurious air travel, with more choices and heightened comfort right around the corner.
