Kosovo Celebrates as Dubai Duty Free Produces Two New Millionaires

Dubai Duty Free has recently announced two new million-dollar winners in its prestigious lottery promotion. Among these winners is the first-ever national from Kosovo to win, marking a significant milestone since the game’s inception in 1999.

A Milestone Win for Kosovo

Liridon Selmani, a 34-year-old entrepreneur from Kaçanik, has become a millionaire by winning $1 million in Millennium Millionaire Series 560. He purchased his winning ticket, number 4448, online on September 25. This victory is particularly special as it is the first time a citizen of Kosovo has won in this long-running promotion, which has endured for over 25 years. Selmani expressed his astonishment and delight over the win, stating that he had been participating since his first visit to Dubai in 2016. With his newfound wealth, he plans to return to Dubai with his family for another memorable trip.

Second Millionaire from Saudi Arabia

Joining Selmani in the millionaire circle is Mishari Aldukair, a Saudi national who also won $1 million in the most recent draw of the Millennium Millionaire Series 561, held on October 2. Aldukair’s winning ticket was number 0536. Although he was not available for comments after the announcement, his win adds to the excitement surrounding the Dubai Duty Free promotions. The draw was conducted by key officials, including Managing Director Ramesh Cidambi, along with team representatives from various departments within the organization.

Luxury Prizes in the Finest Surprise Promotion

Following the millionaire announcements, Dubai Duty Free also revealed the winners of their Finest Surprise promotion, where four participants won luxury cars and high-performance motorcycles. Osama Yousif Jasim Aldoukhi, a 60-year-old UAE resident, secured a Mercedes-Benz GLS 580, having purchased his ticket online on October 16. He was thrilled to win as he entered this draw with ticket number 1631.

Moreover, an 80-year-old Jordanian living in Dubai, Muhyiddin Shafi, celebrated his own big win by claiming a Range Rover SE P360 in Batumi Gold. His winning ticket, number 0198, was part of the Finest Surprise Series 1966. He has been actively participating in this promotion for over 15 years, making his win even more meaningful.

Other notable winners include two Indian nationals who claimed motorcycles. Melwin Pontes, a 50-year-old enthusiast, won a red Ducati Panigale V2 with ticket number 1162 in Finest Surprise Series 681, marking his third motorcycle victory through Dubai Duty Free. Additionally, Rajesh Chempath, a 42-year-old Indian residing in Dubai, won an Aprilia RSV4 1100 in Poison Yellow.
