Emirates enhances A380 and Premium Economy service in India.
Emirates is set to enhance its operations in India starting from October 25, 2026, by introducing the Airbus A380 on the Dubai-Delhi route. This development will position Delhi as the airline’s third destination in India for the iconic aircraft, following Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Introduction of Airbus A380 on Dubai-Delhi Route
The addition of the A380 between Dubai and Delhi signifies a major upgrade for Emirates. The A380, known for its spacious seating and advanced amenities, will offer travelers more comfort and an elevated flying experience. This enhancement not only highlights Emirates’ commitment to improving its service but also aims to cater to the increasing demand for air travel between these major cities.
Premium Economy Class Available Across Indian Destinations
In tandem with the A380 introduction, Emirates is fully rolling out its Premium Economy class on all four of its daily flights from Dubai to Delhi. By the end of October, this sought-after cabin will be available not only to Delhi but also to five other Indian cities: Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Kochi. This expansion reflects Emirates’ understanding of the growing preference for more affordable yet comfortable travel options among Indian passengers.
Fleet Upgrades and Service Enhancements
In addition to the new A380 service, the Emirates daily flight from Dubai to Kolkata will transition from a Boeing 777 to the more modern Airbus A350. To accommodate the demand for Premium Economy, Emirates will also retrofitting several Boeing 777s to ensure that this service is available on all 12 weekly flights to Kolkata. These fleet upgrades demonstrate the airline’s commitment to maintaining high standards of service and passenger comfort.
Beyond the technical upgrades, Emirates is focusing on enhancing the overall customer experience. The airline is launching new retail travel stores in major cities like Delhi and Mumbai, with further plans to open outlets in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Moreover, a dedicated customer service call center will be established in Mumbai to assist travelers more effectively. Currently, Emirates operates 167 weekly flights to nine cities across India, seamlessly linking the country with its global network of nearly 140 destinations via Dubai.
