Kaspersky Launches New Office in Dubai – Utilities Middle East

Kaspersky has unveiled its new Cybersecurity Center at KidZania, located in Dubai Mall. This innovative role-play environment aims to teach children about the critical importance of online safety in a captivating and interactive manner.

Engaging Learning Experience

The Cybersecurity Center provides children with the opportunity to step into the shoes of cyber investigators. Through various hands-on activities, they learn essential skills to identify and combat cyberthreats effectively. As children are introduced to the digital realm at increasingly younger ages, such initiatives become crucial for families in the UAE, striving to foster a culture of digital safety.

A recent survey by Kaspersky revealed that a staggering 89% of parents in the UAE envision their children pursuing careers in information technology, underscoring IT’s status as a preferred industry choice for the future. The Cybersecurity Center aligns perfectly with this trend, enabling parents to prepare their kids for a tech-focused world while emphasizing the importance of safe online habits.

Vital Cyber Awareness

Andrey Sidenko, Kaspersky’s Cyber Literacy Projects Lead, emphasized the significance of education in shaping children’s understanding of the digital landscape. In his words, “Children today are growing up surrounded by technology, and their online experiences begin earlier than ever before. It is crucial to equip the younger generation with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate safely.”

The diverse, interactive curriculum at the Kaspersky Cybersecurity Center includes engaging simulations and digital missions. Participants are guided in recognizing online threats, practicing safe internet browsing, and responding to real-life cybersecurity situations. This method bolsters their critical thinking abilities, fosters digital awareness, and promotes responsible online behavior in a fun setting.

Real-World Application

At the center, kids take on exciting missions, transforming into cyber detectives who uncover potential cyberthreats. They piece together digital clues and solve online security challenges, which not only enhances their problem-solving skills but also encourages teamwork and collaboration. Rashed Al Momani, General Manager for the Middle East at Kaspersky, underscored that this partnership with KidZania makes cybersecurity education more accessible and engaging for families.

“Our collaboration with KidZania allows us to bring cybersecurity education closer to families in an engaging and practical way,” Al Momani stated. “Together, we are empowering both children and parents to build healthy digital habits and confidently embrace the opportunities present in the online world.”

A Global Initiative

The launch of the Cybersecurity Center in Dubai builds on Kaspersky’s global partnership with KidZania, which commenced in March 2025 with a similar initiative in Mexico City. The collaboration later expanded to India, establishing Cyber Investigation Centers before reaching the UAE. This initiative showcases Kaspersky’s commitment to raising awareness among younger generations about the evolving challenges in cybersecurity.

In summary, the newly introduced Cybersecurity Center at KidZania in Dubai reflects Kaspersky’s broader mission to educate and equip children with the necessary tools to thrive in an increasingly digitalized society. By fostering an awareness of cybersecurity, Kaspersky aims to prepare kids to become responsible and informed users of technology, ultimately ensuring a safer online environment for future generations.
