Dubai Holding strengthens support for local small businesses.

Dubai Holding has excitedly revealed the acquisition of its initial commercial set of Rovers from GoGravity, an adventure technology company established in the Emirates and located at Hatta Wadi Hub. This initiative aims to enhance Hatta Resorts’ offerings while demonstrating Dubai Holding’s dedication to fostering small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and promoting environmentally friendly transportation within its tourism and hospitality initiatives.

Enhancing Adventure Tourism in Hatta

The Rover represents GoGravity’s latest advancement: a fully electric, all-terrain vehicle specifically designed for Hatta’s challenging mountain environment. Completely manufactured and assembled at Hatta Wadi Hub, these vehicles bear the “Made in UAE” label and come in three variants—RWD, AWD, and GT—each tailored for superior off-road capability. By incorporating the first batch into Hatta Resorts, Dubai Holding seeks to provide visitors with an environmentally conscious way to discover Hatta’s stunning natural vistas.

A Platform for Local Innovation

Roudi Soubra, Vice President of Asset Management at Dubai Holding, emphasized the significance of Hatta Wadi Hub as a launchpad for local entrepreneurs. He remarked, “Hatta Wadi Hub was designed from the outset to be a platform for local entrepreneurs, and GoGravity is a powerful example of what that model can deliver. The Rover, developed by an Emirati team within our destination, is now primed for commercial success.” This acquisition underscores Dubai Holding’s commitment to distinctive local enterprises and the promotion of sustainable practices, particularly through electric vehicle mobility.

Partnerships Driving Eco-Tourism

Ahmed Ali Albedwawi, the Co-founder of GoGravity, expressed enthusiasm over the support received from Dubai Holding throughout their journey. “What began as a local concept has blossomed into a proudly UAE-built innovation, and we are thrilled to supply the first batch of Rovers to Hatta Resorts,” he stated. The custom-designed Rovers cater to specific operational demands, offering a zero-emissions, low-noise transportation option that enhances the overall visitor experience, thus furthering the eco-tourism agenda in the area.

Commitment to Sustainability and Local Development

The procurement of the Rovers aligns with Dubai Holding’s extensive strategy to empower local SMEs within its many destinations, granting these homegrown businesses valuable commercial exposure. This initiative also reinforces the organization’s focus on environmental sustainability, promoting zero-emission transportation solutions throughout Hatta Resorts. Such efforts are in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and echo the UAE’s ambitious goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.

Established by Dubai Holding in 2018, Hatta Wadi Hub serves as a creative ecosystem geared towards Emirati enterprises, with all businesses at the site being owned and operated by local founders from the Hatta community. At present, Hatta Wadi Hub is home to over 24 SMEs spanning diverse sectors, including adventure activities, hospitality, food and beverages, and technology. GoGravity has been an integral part of this entrepreneurial landscape from the very beginning, setting the stage for future innovations in experience-driven solutions.
